Hurricane Matthew ravaged the east coast with destructive wind, rain, and storm surge causing significant property damage and disruption to business operations throughout Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina. It is estimated that Hurricane Matthew has caused upwards of $7 billion in insured losses. Like other natural disasters that have and will occur, the damage and disruption to business operations can be significant with impacts ranging from physical property damage to supply chain disruptions that adversely affect business with suppliers, customers, vendors and employees.
